Our Third Party Department makes extensive use of both digital
cameras, traditional cameras, and scanners. This enables us to send and receive photographs and documents
to experts, clients and the like, all over the world, and give/receive speedy
instructions and comments, where this would have taken weeks and months if
normal courier/postage systems were being used, as many attorneys still rely
on.
It often happens that we require a certain document to be sent to
various parties for their information and comment (the opposing attorney, their
numerous experts, our other experts, the client, witnesses). Without electronic mail, this would have
entailed time delays and costs in obtaining the document, photocopying it, and
then posting/collecting it.
Because all of our experts have similar facilities, we can,
at the touch of a button, transmit the document to every person in a
millisecond - this time saving equates to hundreds of thousands of rands to our
clients, in interest alone.
