Medical Aid expenses

Question
Do I have to repay the Medical Aid the expenses it has paid on my behalf?

Answer
Most Schemes have in their Rules, a provision which stipulates that if you are entitled to have medical costs paid by the person who caused the injury, then they do not have to pay for those expenses - the guilty party must bear these. However, as a show of good faith, most Schemes will pay these expenses, and view their payment in the form of a loan to you, on the condition that you repay them these expenses if you recover them from the gulity party. Remember, you would have in all likelyhood agreed to these terms at the time of joining the Scheme. Refer to you Schemes Rules in this regard.
